Theaters were given several items for display. 8×10 and 11×14 lobby cards, b/w photos, 14×36 “inserts”, 22×28 “1/2 sheet”, “1 sheet” posters originally 27×41 and currently 27×40, 30×40, 40×60, 41×81 etc. The decision as to what was purchased was made by, the manager, owner,regional manager of a chain of theaters etc. Free items from the studio had no cut and dry rule either.
